No matter how color trends come and go, the whites are always in. They are no longer confined to the summer months as they've successfully made their way to our winter closets as well. Nevertheless, fashionistas have shied away for ages from the all white outfits to avoid that nurse/doctor look.
There are closet wardrobe essentials that every fashionista should have. One of them is a bright colored top that you can wear casually or dress it up when need be. These items never go out of style and they get used a lot.
Pastels are so in this season and we've seen them in almost all of 2015 fashion weeks. I have had a few posts about them, but was waiting to get some tan before I go full force :)
I am usually not a big fan of dark colored shoes for the summer time as I feel they look heavy. I opt for ones that disappear into the outfit you're wearing and don't make make a statement on their own.
It is this time of the year where you get the best deals. Sales are everywhere, and your favorite items are marked down..way down. Saks, Neiman, Barneys, Nordstrom are all having their consolidation sales with up to 75% off regular prices.
If you are a midwestern like me you know what I'm talking about when I say:" Hello Sunshine." We haven't had a true summer this year. It felt like we had a long winter followed by a lot of rain, cloudy days, and overcasts.
What a better time to sport the beautiful color Yellow other than summertime? It is the color of sunshine that beams with warmth, hope, and happiness. I totally believe that colors promote different feelings and yellow is one that stands for positivity, energy and optimism.
Happy 4th of July fellow Americans. So proud to be a citizen of the land of the free and the home of the brave. With all the wars and the tragedies plaguing the world, we are so lucky to be Americans.
Black and White is one color combination that works for all seasons and will ever stay in style. When in doubt, go black and white. It's chic, it's elegant, it's simple, it's slick. There is however a summer version of this palette and a winter one.
