Where did this day get its name from? Per the BBC it got its name from Saint Valentine who was a priest in Rome in the third century. When Emperor Caludius banned marriage thinking it disrupted the focus of his soldiers, saint Valentine felt that it's unfair and broke the rules conducting marriages secretively.
The trendiest of trends that is still going strong is metallics. It's a futuristic, it's glamorous, it's flashy. Shiny clothing and accessories aren't restricted to evening wear anymore. We've seen designers adding a pop of metallics to full blown shine looks to their evening, day time, and even sport looks.
Fashionistas like to be unique. They want to stand out and make a statemnt. This is why we shop cautiously wanting pieces that no one else have (or at least we want think that way.) But what happens when you fall in love with a dress only to find out after you bought it that a lot of your gals have it?
Some of us have accomplished a lot this year, and some others feel that they failed their resolutions for 2017. For some this has been a good year, and for others they're glad it's over. December 31st is a day charged with different emotions, but for me it's actually just another day.

Every now and then I like to shoot with my girls. It gives us some fun time to spend together celebrating our friendship and making memories along the way. We took to the streets of our beautiful downtown Birmingham in a pink palette. We wanted a bride maid theme with no wedding;)
I don't know about you, but I love Jumpsuits. I feel that I can look dressy enough for a party, yet comfortable to move around and enjoy my time. I am usually not a black kind of a gal, but I wanted something chic, simple, understated, yet elegant and fun for my last week party.
Jumpsuits are my favorite things to wear to a party. It's not only because they are super comfortable, but they are also effortlessly chic. One thing about jumpsuits though is that it is hard to find one that perfectly fits. So many of us do not wear the same size for tops and pants and this is what makes overalls' sizing tough.
